Who we are
The Prehospital Brief is an independent clinical education publication jointly led by Phil Baker and Claudia Elizabeth Goward. For privacy questions, access requests or withdrawal of consent, email hello@theprehospitalbrief.co.uk.
Information we collect
- Email briefing: your email address, the time you consented and your subscription status.
- Topic suggestions: the question and context you submit, plus your email only when you choose to provide it.
- Voting: a random browser identifier and the topics voted for. It is used to prevent repeat voting and is not intended to identify you by name.
- Basic technical information: information required by our hosting provider to operate and secure the website.
Why we use it
We use consent to send The Prehospital Briefing. We use submitted suggestions to run our editorial process and respond where requested. We use a minimal browser identifier for the legitimate interest of keeping topic voting meaningful and resistant to duplicates.
Who receives it
Information is processed by our website and infrastructure providers on our behalf. We do not sell personal information or share the subscriber list with Compass Prehospital or unrelated organisations for their marketing.
How long we keep it
Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum information needed to honour that request. Editorial suggestions are normally reviewed or deleted within 24 months. Voting identifiers may be reset or removed as editorial rounds close.
Your choices and rights
You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time by using the unsubscribe method in an email or contacting us. You may also ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where the law provides those rights. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
